Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance, Inc.     20th Annual WALK for the Homeless

Friday 18 June 2005

Dear Next Move -
Peter, Martin, Tone, Mark and Yuki –

On behalf of the 20th Annual WALK for the Homeless, I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to each of you for your time, dedication and annual efforts in the critical struggle to end homelessness in Central Massachusetts.  Your donations of performances in a benefit concert (Sat. May 21st) leading up to as well as at the annual cookout for the WALK for the Homeless (Sun. June 5th) were extremely generous and wonderfully received by each audience.

The benefit on Sat. May 21st at Tammany Hall, Worcester, was the first of its kind.  Your crowd appeal was evident by the numbers who were dancing and the extended length of your set.  It was apparent that the only people who wanted you off the stage were the final band!

The wide selection of pieces that you performed at the cookout for the 20th Annual WALK for the Homeless was fabulous.  The hundreds who walked could not stop themselves from moving to the infections sounds you produced, despite the overwhelming heat of the day.  A number of individuals let me know personally how impressed they were with your talent, professionalism and quality of sound, despite playing an open air venue.

Your efforts helped reward us with a successful event that continues to support work that will end homelessness for all who suffer it in Central Massachusetts.  Over 550 walkers bore the heat of the day to help the less fortunate on June 5th, and they helped raise over $85,000 in cash and in-kind donations to be distributed among the 5 beneficiaries of this year’s WALK.

These thanks come with the hope that we can look forward to working with you in the future, and that the success you deserve becomes yours.  Support from talents such as you makes the work that I do worthwhile.  And your work, your music is lending itself to the further education of our community at large, as you associate yourselves with the work that the Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance strives to achieve:  stable housing for all.

May success be yours–
Truly,

The Walk for Homeless Benefit - Tammany Hall

June 15, 2005

Dear NEXT MOVE:

I want to take this opportunity to thank the band for all their support and motivation for volunteering their time to play at my benefit- The Walk for Homeless at Tammany Hall- Saturday May 21st-2005.

You guys truly rocked the house with great music and energy. I have heard such great things before and I must admit - you guys not only blew me away but everyone that was present that night. Everyone has spoken highly of Next Move and hopes to see the band play again very soon. I have received many e-mails/calls from folks and they are wondering when you guys might be back to play. So, with that said- that proves that I have chosen the best.

With nothing to give for your performance you guys still agreed to volunteer and with that; I want you guys to know that my benefit was a huge success- and I truly could not have done it without you guys. Next Move puts love and emotion into their music but most importantly Next Move is truly a band with great talents. It was awesome to see Peter, Martin, Anthony, Mark and Yukihide play- they rocked the house with so much emotion, love and passion- that truly defines great musicians!!

I am gratefully honored to have the Band of Destiny- NEXT MOVE play at my event and words truly do no justice to how thankful I am. Once again, thank you so much!

Kind Regards,
